Summary: Maintain good customer relationships and accept responsibility for total customer satisfaction.

  1. Handle inbound customer inquiries for quotations, product availability, order entry, expediting, returns, and problems via phone, email and fax.
  2. Perform order administration including computer entry and processing. This includes entering/coordinating purchase orders with vendors related to emergency or special customer orders.
  3. Take responsibility to ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer requirements.
  4. Provide written and verbal quotations to customers and follow up for status. Determine prices within authorized levels.
  5. Process requests for returns including analysis for authorization and system entry.
  6. Analyze customer problems and recommend/implement solutions.

  • Minimum 2 years of recent industrial or commercial customer service/inside sales experience with tangible products performing the above responsibilities
  • Experience with software packages with real time inventory, sales order entry and purchase order entry Customer service advocate-willing to go the extra mile to service internal and external customers
  • Strong interpersonal / communication skills (Outgoing personality-easily creates relationships with customers)
  • High energy and self motivated-completes responsibilities with a sense of urgency
  • Capable of working effectively in a dynamic multitasking environment
  • Good organizational skills and pays close attention to accuracy and details
  • Good judgment / problem solving skills – able to provide independent analysis
  • Technical aptitude Hands on experience preferred
  • Experienced at Microsoft Office applications (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good keyboard skills A proven team player Some college preferred but not required
