Operations Trainer

 
 

JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. *Facilitate learning via, classroom instruction and webinars; incorporate a variety of presentation methods and applications to accommodate adult learning styles
  2. *Deliver new hire training and other departmental training programs; provide creative, effective classroom and web based instruction throughout the organization
  3. *Manage classroom environment, analyze results and identify gaps in training needs
  4. *Regularly plan and hold coaching and feedback sessions with employees
  5. *Coordinate/facilitate disciplinary action effectively, as needed
  6. *Develop leader and participant guides, job aids, training curriculum and other required coursework that is clear, concise and accurate
  7. *Conduct comprehensive needs analysis to ensure that training fulfills the needs and objectives of the company
  8. *Design exercises, instructional activities and training assessments that reinforce learning
  9. *Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to create and revise departmental procedures through process mapping
  10. *Explore new ideas for improved workflow and automation enhancements
  11. *Support departmental initiatives and identity ways to enhance training effectiveness
  12. *Contribute to the overall success of L&D by identifying ways to continuously improve the learning process
  13. *Provide consistent reporting and measures of results around all L&D strategies.
  14. *Ensure proper communication and customer care of internal clients.
  15. *Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  16. *Works closely with Head of Global L&D and the Managers, Leads and Staff of the Global L&D functions on L&D goals.
  17. *Frequent interaction with executive management (CEO, CEO Directs and BU Heads), as well as with operational management in the US and India.
  18. Maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information stored in the ISGN’s computer networks and data communications infrastructure. All users of ISGN’s systems are responsible for protecting those resources and the information processed, stored or transmitted.   
  19. Perform other related duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.  ASTD or other training certification(s) a plus.    
 

Job Related Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional training and classroom facilitation required. Minimum 8 years of mortgage operating roles preferred. Experience in multiple channels a plus.

 

 

Management Experience: 1-2 years supervisor experience required.

Physical Requirements: Ability to speak and stand for long periods of time.  Ability to sit and work at computer for extended periods of time.  Ability to use computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods of time. Ability to raise arms above shoulders. 

 

 Position Requirements:  Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Should be able to work in a dynamic cross cultural and cross functional environment to problem solve, develop learning solutions, resolve conflict and meet project goals. Excellent client management skills; including ensuring that training meets the internal or external client's specific needs, problems and issues are quickly resolved, and all work is completed to the client’s satisfaction. Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of mortgage, consumer, indirect, or business lending, loan operations and general banking principles is preferred. Good communication skills experienced speaking in front of a group. Must have the ability to articulate and share knowledge ensuring understanding. Understanding of adult learning principles and other learning theories and practices. Have the ability to develop training materials and tests based on Department needs. Must be Customer Focused.

 

Travel Requirements:  Ability to travel to other business units as needed approximately 20-40%.  Must maintain valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Familiar with web-based media, eLearning.
