Job Summary

Position Summary:

The Director of Marketing Strategy is accountable for the management, leadership and development of the segment and channel marketing team and its plans and deliverables to drive growth in alignment with sales and business goals. It will be imperative for this individual to help identify and drive the overall strategic direction and segment plans, working in very closely with Sales leadership. The Director of Marketing Strategy will also be responsible for the creation, development and management of segment and channel value propositions that link to specific go-to-market initiatives aimed at further penetrating existing customer groups and new or underserved groups in collaboration with other parts of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a balance of analytical, operational, creative and supervisory skills. Proven experience in research, marketing strategy, value prop and content development is a must. The position supports the Vice President, Americas Marketing. Significant interaction will be required with individuals in other departments and business units in the Americas and other global regions.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • This role is responsible for management, leadership and development of the segment/channel marketing team, its activities, budgets and reporting.
  • Spearhead the development and oversight of segment/channel marketing strategies and plans to drive awareness and engagement within the customer group in alignment with business goals.
  • Drive communications that align the brand and solutions content with the customer journey for pre- and post-sales.
  • Direct segment research to identify key prospect and new customer behaviors that help to drive customer acquisition and engagement within segments/channels.
  • Leverage findings and optimize them across all marketing channels and tools.
  • Must be analytical and love data.
  • Work closely with portfolio marketing, brand marketing, sales and other disciplines within the company to develop aggregated strategies across business unit products and services to serve broader segment/channel program objectives.
  • Develop segment/channel marketing reporting tools and report results across the company as required.



Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field required. 
  • Master’s Degree preferred

Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of the interior products industry
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing strategy
  • 3+ years of managing people, projects, and programs
  • Strong presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, changing environment
