Job Summary:

Interface is currently seeking a Sr. Supply Planner in LaGrange, GA. 

Position summary:

The Sr. Supply Planner is responsible for inventory stocking positions and custom or special orders for Interface. Planning demand within capacity constraints.  Balance the Make to Stock/Make to Order across two manufacturing locations.

Essential duties:

  • Create production schedules based on forecasted and make to order demand
  • Control inventory levels to maintain acceptable customer service support while minimizing inventory/maximizing turns. Use and refine inventory replenishment reports.
  • Develop and analyze reports to assist with controlling backlogs while keeping customer ship dates and inventory levels a priority.
  • Research and solve problems daily.
  • Contribute to management of yarn inventory by communicating requirements to yarn purchasing
  • Contribute to testing, training, and execution of JDE Manufacturing implementation
  • Comply with safety rules
  • Work closely with personnel in all manufacturing departments at Interface in Troup County
  • Comply with environmental regulations
  • Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Educational requirements:

  • B.A. / B.S. (Engineering/Math preferred)
  • Must have proven JDE planning experience
  • APICS certification (CPIM) strongly desired or willingness to achieve certification.
  • Training in production planning

Skills and experience:

  • Understanding of supply chain flow for both "Make To Stock" and "Make To Order" business models.
  • 4 years’ experience with inventory management and manufacturing planning/scheduling
  • 2 years’ experience with JD Edwards / E1 Planning in a Manufacturing environment required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively present information to other staff and Planning Leadership
  • Proven ability to establish priorities based on available information, work processes, inventories and policies.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced spreadsheet applications
  • Strong organizational, analytical and mathematical skills are required.
