Job Summary:

Interface has a sales opening in Boston. The successful candidate is responsible for generating sales, identifying and qualifying business opportunities and presenting Interface products to customers as well as preparing formal proposals and leading negotiations to close the sale. The focus of this role will be on dealers and end users with the primary goal of developing end user preference for Interface and leveraging end user relationships to develop partnering alliances with key dealers. While the focus of the role is End User/CRE & Dealers, at times an AE may be brought into A&D firms by the A&D AE to provide sales support. ?

Essential duties: 

  • Identify and qualify business opportunities within their assigned territories either geographically or by defined accounts
  • Present Interface products to customers
  • Prepare formal proposals
  • Lead negotiations
  • Coordinate complex decision-making processes with customers
  • Identify and remove barriers to closing the sale
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with dealers, end users, and designers as well as any other key decision makers.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts to management  
  • Manage all expenses within budget set and submit expense reports promptly per policy
  • Input data into Siebel to ensure database is current
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Candidates must have the following:

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background is preferred

Skills and experience:

  • Prefer at least three years of sales experience, preferably in the textile, carpet or furniture industry
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize independent work schedule
