Job Summary:

Interface is currently seeking an Account Executive in Toronto, CA. 

Position summary:

Interface has a sales opening in Toronto. The successful candidate is responsible for generating sales, identifying and qualifying business opportunities and presenting Interface products to customers as well as preparing formal proposals and leading negotiations to close the sale. The focus of this role will be on A&D users with the primary goal of educating designers about Interface products/advantages and developing partnering relationships and preference to specify Interface.

Essential duties: 

  • Manage relationships to drive specification volumes with established assigned key A&D firms and develop business with other high potential A&D firms
  • Educate designers on Interface products & benefits

  • Build designer advocacy for Interface

  • Identify new projects and sales opportunities with the A&D firms
  • Advise designers on product selection to meet project design and cost objectives

  • Leverage internal sales support resources, provide samples, technical information, and answers to designers’ questions  
  • Actively represent Interface in IIDA
  • Deliver CEU presentations
  • Get Interface specified by A&D firms for active projects
  • Prepare formal proposals
  • Lead negotiations
  • Coordinate complex decision-making processes with customers
  • Identify and remove barriers to closing the sale
  • Provide accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts to management 
  • Manage all expenses within budget set and submit expense reports promptly per policy
  • Input data into CRM to ensure database is current
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Candidates must have the following: 

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background is preferred


Skills and experience:

  • Prefer at least three years of sales experience, or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize independent work schedule
