ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE-HOSPITALITY

Job Summary:

Interface is currently seeking an Account Executive-Hospitality in New York. 

 

Position summary:

The Account Executive - Hospitality will be responsible for generating sales within the designated geographic territory.

 

Essential duties: 

  • Identify and qualify business opportunities within their assigned territories either geographically or by defined accounts
  • Present Interface products to customers
  • Prepare formal proposals
  • Lead negotiations
  • Coordinate complex decision-making processes with customers
  • Identify and remove barriers to closing the sale
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with purchasing agents, hotel owners, management companies, hotel brands and designers as well as any other key decision makers.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts to management utilizing the tools and equipment provided to accomplish this task (i.e.:  Siebel CRM)
  • Manage all expenses within budget set and submit expense reports promptly per policy
  • Input data into Siebel to ensure database is current
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Regularly and actively participate in industry organizations, events and associations (ex.: HD Expo, NEWH, AAHOA, hotel brand trade shows, etc.)
  • Be an expert on competitors and their products.
  • Be an ambassador to the hospitality industry.
  • Offer suggestions on required marketing and sales tools and support.
  • Consult with customers on design and be a liaison between customer and InterfaceFLOR design department.
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with non-competitive industry sales representatives and other industry influencers such as sustainability consultants.

Qualification:

Candidates must have the following:

Educational requirements:

  • HS/GED
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background is preferred

Skills and experience:

  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellentcommunication skills, verbal and written
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize independent work schedule
  • Ability to easily build and maintain strong relationships with customers and others in the industry.
  • Proven ability to successfully sell FF&E products in the hospitality industry
