Title:   Retail Sales Manager
HP Hood


Job Function:
Manage and direct retail sales team to drive business interest in support of HP Hood brands and license branded products.  Lead, train, and motivate retail sales personnel in support of key initiatives, merchandising standards, and retail objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a high caliber retail sales team, managing all aspects of store level responsibilities.
  2. Strategically build and maintain retail store territories for all sales representatives for their region of responsibility.
  3. Champion communication from key account managers to retail sales representatives regarding day-to-day product promotions, challenges, opportunities for all Hood branded, private label and licensed brand dairy products at individual stores.
  4. Coach sales representatives in the field on achieving sales objectives, such as completing store calls, and retail audits.
  5. Analyze and customize IRI, syndicated data, shopper insights, and internal sales reports for retail sales execution.
  6. Facilitate monthly regional and local sales meetings.
  7.  Drive business forward by keeping abreast of competitive activity and providing ongoing support and feedback. 


Job Qualifications:
  • BA/BS Degree in Business or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of proven sales management experience within the consumer food products industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and success in a large matrix organization.
  • The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written including presentation skills and negotiating skills.
  • Exemplify professionalism in selling and convey a strong sense of urgency toward achieving sales and profit goals and objectives.
  • Must possess solid PC skills, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  •  Entrepreneurial spirit with a high level of thought leadership and creativity with strong follow through skills.
