Excellent opportunity to shape social media strategy at HP Hood LLC.  Work locally in the Boston area with a strong industry leader, focusing on national consumer brands.

The Social Media Marketing Manager will lead the strategy development, planning, and execution of social media marketing in support of HP Hood LLC brands. The primary focus of this role is to work with members of the Marketing team, Sales teams, and PR team to define, plan and execute long-term social engagement while leveraging tactical resources to implement and execute on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategy, manage and execute the integration of new media channels to existing marketing plans to actively engage consumers with the company’s brands and cultivate brand loyalty.
  • Provide and contribute strategic vision to positively affect business plans. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective execution of creative, powerful social media tactics to support marketing activities and brand awareness.
  • Manage and develop social media planning and execution, and develop communications strategies and content as needed.
  • Monitor and report on brand activity on Twitter, Facebook and other online social communities.
  • Manage external agencies in the development of creative and content.
  • Monitor competitive activity and general digital landscape to be aware of market changes and developments.
  • Develop social media engagement metrics that provide a clear sense of value for social initiatives and drive towards defining ROI.

Requirements


 

  • 4-year college degree (BA/BS) in marketing, communications, public relations or related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in brand marketing with at least 2 years of relevant experience in social media strategy and execution.
  • A passion for digital media with active engagement in social media.
  • Proven experience successfully managing social media campaigns from strategy development through execution with tangible results.
  • Knowledge of online monitoring and measurement platforms such as Omniture, Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, HootSuite, etc.
  • Prior exposure to and comfort with all media channels (broadcast, print, etc.) as a basis for understanding and integrating social media strategies into holistic multi-channel campaigns.
  • Previous project management experience, especially working with staff members in other departments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
