Summary:
 
This position is responsible for providing a high- level of Hospitality & Guest Services to our guests visiting Hersheypark. This part-time position is responsible for providing our guests with exceptional customer service, following proper uniform standards, maintaining cleanliness of your work environment, and gaining knowledge of specific job duties.
 
Each area within Guest Relations & Hospitality Services offers many different job functions. The detailed job functions for each position are listed below and will be reviewed with you during the interview process. Please read the job functions for the positions available. These positions available will be based upon availability and you will be asked to select your top preference position when submitting an application.


Cabanas may be required to do one or all of the following tasks depending on the assigned job:
• Facilitate and coordinate office details related to Cabana operations including direct contact with guests.
• Sell and track inventory items
• Provide general information to guests.
• Communicate and work with other departments effectively to ensure the best possible experience for our guests
• Must be comfortable handling money
• Handle clerical duties such as filing, answering phones, and filling out paperwork
• Learn operational standards for the Guest Services Department at Hersheypark.


Group Sales Staff may be required to do one or all of the following tasks depending on the assigned job:
• Must be able to work a minimum of four (4) days per week throughout the summer season to include a rotation of mornings and evenings
• Enter orders in the computer, pay for the orders, print tickets, and print receipts for the group leader
• Serve as In Information Window, which requires a computer based ticketing system
• Must be comfortable handling money
• Answer the Hersheypark Information Line, with questions pertaining to Hersheypark hours, prices, lodging, area attractions as well as handle guest complaints

Guest Relations Staff may be required to do one or all of the following tasks depending on the assigned job:
• Must be able to work a minimum of four (4) days per week throughout the summer season to include a rotation of mornings and evenings
• This position is ideal for business, management, or communications majors as it entails a large amount of hands on experience in customer service
• Handle Clerical duties such as filing, answering phones, and filling out paperwork
• Answer the Hersheypark Information Line, with questions pertaining to Hersheypark hours, prices, lodging, area attractions as well as handle guest complaints
• Handle guest complaints
• Selling many different items and ticket types
• Must be comfortable handling money

Hershey Gardens Greeter Staff may be required to do one or all of the following tasks
depending on the assigned job:
• Must be able to work a minimum of four (4) days per week throughout the summer season (March to September)
• Include a rotation of mornings and evenings
• Handle questions throughout the day about the Gardens
• Explain and sell special Gardens add-on programs.
• Work on a computer based ticket system
• Must be comfortable handling money

Season Pass Office Staff may be required to do one or all of the following tasks depending on the assigned job:
• Must be able to work a minimum of four (4) days per week throughout the summer season to include a rotation of mornings and evenings
• Troubleshoot on-line ticketing issues
• Sell, process, and mail season pass and advance ticket orders
• Answer the Hersheypark Information Line, with questions pertaining to Hersheypark hours, prices, lodging, area attractions as well as handle guest complaints
• Handle Clerical duties such as filing, answering phones, and filling out paperwork

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older on the day of applying
• Must have at least 1 year of previous customer service experience, preferably in the Hospitality industry

Additional Qualifications:

• Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task.
• Must be comfortable handling money
• Must present a professional image representative of the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts mission & core values. Must be able to work independently and in a team setting.
• Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other employees and be able to interact with our guests
• Must possess a positive attitude and be able to handle guest complaints with ease and professionalism
• Must be organized and able to handle clerical activities, such as filing, answering phones and filing out paperwork
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shifts
• Must be able to speak, write, and understand English
• Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information
• Must be comfortable handling money 
Experience with reservations systems preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work a minimum of four (4) days per week throughout the summer season to include a rotation of mornings and evenings
• Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to work in combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions including cold temperatures.
• Physical requirements including standing, sitting, walking, and communicating
