JOB DESCRIPTION:
OVERALL PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE
 
This position applies a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach for modifications of existing applications, reports and request for software services with minimal supervision from more senior software developers.
 
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in the design of software with clearly defined functional requirements with the help of more senior software developers.
  • Participates in the design of test cases for software module changes.
  • Participates in group design discussions.
  • Develops software under the supervision of more senior software developers.
  • Requires minimal supervision from more senior software developers to troubleshoot and make repairs.
  • Basic Proficiency in Software Development, Software Design, Software Testing, Software Maintenance, Software Configuration Mgt., Software Engineering Tools and Software Quality

JOB REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS
  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in Computer Science/IT or sufficient related education
  • 2 + years of software development work experience
  • Should have experience or demonstrable knowledge in the following areas:
    • C
    • Linux
    • DB2/Oracle/Sybase
    • Knowledge of C#, Java  or J2EE Technologies would be an asset
