Position Title:   Housekeeper (Hotel)

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:   The Housekeeper has overall responsibility for cleaning guest rooms and/or suites in a timely and thorough manner to ensure guest satisfaction.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (includes, but not limited to, the following):
 
1. Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash etc.;
2. Notify supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied;
3. Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping;
4. Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures;
5. Comply with all health and safety standards;
6. Adhere to employee relations policies and enforce all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations;
7. Attend regular meetings as scheduled;
8. Ensure that Superior Guest Service levels are met according to Standard Operating Procedures;
9. Other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:   Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing in English; Ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints; Ability to express ideas or make recommendations concerning job related issues; Ability to learn specific job duties and complete work assignments; Maintain knowledge of basic concepts and techniques; Ability to follow direction/instruction; Possess pleasant demeanor when interacting with team members and guests.
 
Education:  High School diploma or equivalent required
 
Experience:  Minimum six (6) months experience housekeeping environmental services area preferred
