The Creative Writer/Media Planner will formulate the majority of the core messaging to convey fresh, innovative ideas and successfully communicate and plan across all media.
As part of the communication team, this role will have responsibilities of executing strategic communication plans and projects, customizing messaging for Graco’s Contractor Equipment Division serving the professional paint, consumer and rental market audiences. The Creative Writer/Media Planner will also bring experience supporting product launches and industry events.
•Demonstrated experience in writing and executing successful consumer marketing and mass marketing campaigns
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including use of business vocabulary in composition of documents.
•Proven ability to independently meet multiple deadlines, balance numerous projects, and adapt to rapidly changing priorities while maintaining a perspective on long-term goals.
•Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating understanding needs of a diverse and decentralized staff, media and vendors
•Familiar with social media to target strategically important markets, build brand awareness, and increase sales
•An understanding of the B2B high-tech industry
•Ability to drive coverage into critically important trade publications and general media relations
•Develop creative blue prints and annual media plans
•Strategize, focus, and revise messaging on the graco.com website to resonate as from one voice.
•Research, write, and manage communication projects for brochures, promotional and merchandising materials, ads, press releases and editorials for a range of external audiences
