Responsible for working with the Division Vice President to aggressively drive growth of the division. This is a high visibility position which includes frequent exposure to the CEO & Executive Team. Key responsibilities are to lead the division’s acquisition efforts including identifying targets and cultivating strategic relationships as well as assessing organic growth opportunities in market spaces beyond today’s presence.
Lead the Division's acquisition efforts including identification, evaluation, pursuit, and execution.
Manage transactions throughout the deal life cycle, including leading and individually contributing to the identification, analysis, development, and execution of acquisition transactions.
Determine the value of transaction targets, including establishing the intrinsic value of the target and the identification and valuation of synergies.
Collaborate on the development of business plans for acquisition opportunities.
Support management in assessing the strategic fit of acquisition candidates.
Chair the Division steering committee, make regular presentations to review opportunities and set priorities.
Establish a deep network of industry contacts including company owners (and/or key executives), investment bankers, and corporate development peers.
Identify strategic growth areas.
Develop unbiased market entry strategies including evaluation of acquisition, organic, private label, and other market entry alternatives.
Identify and maintain a pipeline of viable acquisition candidates.
Maintain key relationships for pipeline of target companies.
Frequent travel to trade shows, industry events, and introductory meetings.
Conduct market research.
Close work with divisional sales and marketing managers.
Perform staff management and administrative duties of: recruitment, training, performance evaluation, development and disciplinary actions. Manage staffing and budgetary requirements and set department performance standards.
