Summary:

Golden Entertainment’s Accounting & Finance Internship offers an in-depth opportunity to gain knowledge in Accounting and Finance within the Hospitality and Gaming Industry. Interns will shadow department staff and perform various duties on a limited basis under direct supervision and at the direction of supervisors and management.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Rotates through Accounting departments for the internship with accounting focus and performs various Finance functions for the internship with finance focus
  • Shadows assigned managers and/or trainers to gain a basic understanding of job duties as assigned
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
  • Provides outstanding customer service in a timely manner to fellow team members that meets the company’s customer service culture standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accounting or finance education program requiring externship or internship hours
  • Junior or Senior level
  • Ability to dedicate 32+ hours/week towards internship for the duration of the 12-week program
  • Efficient in using computers, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting/working at a desk
  • Occasionally push and/or pull up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. at floor, knee, and waist levels
  • Occasional standing and walking
  • Constant use of hearing and vision, sitting, distinguishing between shades of color, and using tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
