Bartender

The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)

Description:

Summary: Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures. Delivers exceptional guest service as defined by Stratosphere. Follows all operating procedures, safety regulations and Stratosphere policies and procedures.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures
  • Maintains cleanliness and hygiene of work area, bar tops, floors and line equipment
  • Receives, issues and keeps necessary records of liquor and other bar supplies
  • Refills and stocks garnishes and glassware
  • Follows cash handling and Info Genesis POS procedures
  • Follows cash and comp procedures
  • Maintains appropriate sound and music levels as designated by management
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • At least two years previous experience as a Bartender within the past 3 years preferred
  • At least one year of previous experience in a high-volume bar and qualification through the union for a bartender position
  • Must have basic knowledge of common drink recipes within the industry
  • Must have knowledge of proper pour measurements
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to handle a cash bank

Physical Requirements

  • Walking, standing or stooping (75% of the time)
  • Ability to communicate via radios
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
