Senior Support Technician

Rocky Gap (Flintstone, MD)


***$800.00 Sign-on bonus! Responsible for the overall installation and maintenance of computer systems on property as well as the IT departments liaison to our tier 3 engineering teams.

  • Installs selected software, maintaining proper security levels and access rights.
  • Ensures the quality of systems operations in all areas of the casino by communicating with all levels of systems users and offering direction and assistance as needed.
  • Reviews all systems specifications and makes recommendations for the purchase of hardware and software.
  • Administers training courses on the implementation and de-bugging of computer systems.
  • Offers assistance to Support Technicians as needed.
  • Routinely inspects all supported equipment, identifying potential problems and repairing same, as needed.
  • Facilitates the flow of information throughout the Information Technology Department by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Assists with career development ofr Support Technicians, as needed
  • Acts as the department's point of contact for application vendor escalations.
  • Works in conjunction with tier 3 engineering teams on advanced troubleshooting of Microsoft Server, Cisco Routing & Switching, and virtual appliances.


Supervises the activities of the Support Technician and indirectly supervises the activities of all system users on property.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), or business administration from a four-year college or university, or four to six years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Two to four years experience with Cisco routing & Switching. Entry-level experience with VMware and configuring virtual computers in vSphere. Understanding and experience maintaining a PCI compliant work place.
