Asst Cafe Manager

Pahrump Nugget, Gold Town & Lakeside (Pahrump, NV)



Responsible for assisting with the day to day operation and provide supervision for the department.  Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations, and all team members comply with rules, regulations and procedures. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or team member challenges.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Keep staff abreast of any new procedures
  • Maintain food quality and presentation
  • Control food and labor cost
  • Recognize and adhere to standard for personnel performance and service to guests
  • Oversee the requisition of supplies and instruct kitchen personnel to ensure each area has supplies on hand to achieve a smooth running operation
  • Review all monthly physical inventories
  • Maintain cleanliness and safe working conditions in all areas
  • Verify paperwork is accurate and delivered to proper personnel in a timely manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Skill in developing and maintaining guest relations
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, staff and co-workers
  • Ability to understand questions and instructions from supervisors and co-workers
  • Perform other duties as assigned



  • Minimum two (2) year college preferred
  • Three years high volume Food & Beverage industry preferred
  • Ability to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Knowledge of general office skills with excellent organizational and coordination skills
  • Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently push or pull cabinet drawers weighing five (5) to fifteen (15) lbs.
  • Frequently bend, reach, twist, squat, and kneel
  • Ability to use office equipment, such as telephone, calculator and copier
  • Constantly walking, standing, sitting and use of hearing and vision
