Legal Executive Assistant

Provides administrative support, contract management, and management of various special projects for the Vice President of Legal/General Counsel and Director of Legal, Risk Management and Corporate Compliance departments. Ensures internal and external customers experience high quality, friendly and efficient service from the Legal department. Works with assigned staff members to ensure that all assigned administrative functions are handled in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and maintains all department files required by gaming, company regulations, and legal matters.
  • Maintains all properties’ legal contracts, subpoenas, and vendor agreements.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism; answers non-routine correspondence and assembles confidential and sensitive information.
  • Interacts with all operational and support departmental staff as well as outside counsel, attorneys, and/or vendors, in a courteous, appropriate manner.
  • Schedules appointments with guests and/or department management to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Attends meetings as required, records the minutes and later types and distributes the meeting minutes.
  • Composes and types correspondence, memorandums, e-mails, reports and miscellaneous documents; reviews incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail; files correspondence and other departmental records and reports using the various administrative support software programs of Microsoft Office.
  • Responds to letters, items of concern, and/or inquiries promptly and politely in accordance with company policies and procedures. Issues involving service disputes above resolution authority are directed to the appropriate member of departmental management.
  • Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel and office activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Minimum 5 years experience performing same or similar job duties
  • Previous experience working in Legal office environment or handling contracts administration
  • Experience working with attorneys preferred
  • Must be able to prioritize and work with little direction or supervision
  • Strong computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong decision making ability
  • Experience with effective organization and time management involving multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding guest service skills
  • Present a professional appearance
  • Ability to effectively communicate in small and large group situations, as well as one-on-one
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree preferred
