Slot Install Manager

Slot Route & Tavern Ops (Northern NV)



Responsible for the day to day operation and direct supervision of all activities within the Slot Install department. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or team member challenges. Responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various gaming and electronic equipment to ensure optimal operation.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, develop, measure performance, discipline, and schedule department staff
  • Establish standards of service within assigned department(s) and ensure achievement
  • Monitor and control labor within the department while maintaining adequate coverage in the department based on business demands
  • Assist in evaluating location performance
  • Maintain supplies and inventory of necessary items for the install and conversion of field equipment
  • Maintain working knowledge of new equipment and have an understanding of the special requirements in which to support it
  • Maintain a strong understanding of gaming equipment, trouble shooting and repair
  • Supervise technical procedures and provide instruction and training to personnel in all areas of gaming equipment and troubleshooting
  • Rebuild, repair, modify and install gaming devices of all types and associated equipment
  • Set programming, troubleshoot and test gaming machines and associated equipment as instructed
  • Set up and install progressive signs and controllers
  • Stay abreast of special requirements for GCB as it applies to the install and conversion of gaming equipment
  • Install, remove, set options, repair and troubleshoot GMS System, cash dispensing safes, progressive systems and signs
  • Run and terminate CAT 5 and 6, fiber, coaxes and installs patch panels
  • Support route service & work on follow up items as required
  • Complete all paper work accurately and submit at the end of the day what work was performed. Document proper installations, MCU’s, conversions and machine preparations
  • Install and remove gaming machines, associated equipment, woodworking, laminating, painting, cleaning, polishing, loading and unloading equipment, operating a forklift, building maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Maintain safe working equipment and keep work areas clean
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned



  • Three to five years previous experience performing same or similar job duties preferred
  • Proven experience providing high level of guest service
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working calmly and professionally in busy work environment while effectively multi-tasking
  • Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Experience performing job functions in a  timely manner with minimal and/or no supervision
  • Ability to operate computer equipment
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

  • Walk, stand, sit, climb or stoop more than 75% of the time
  • Use of tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity more than 75% of the time.
  • Ability to operate hand truck to move 400+ lb. slot machine
  • Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying/bending/kneeling/climbing/ and standing more than 75% of the time
  • Using chemical agents (up to approx. 25% of the time)
  • Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail
  • Hearing, vision (including peripheral), speech and literacy (critical)
  • Ability to communicate vocally utilizing  portable radios and telephones (critical)
  • Ability to distinguish between shades of color
  • Occasionally drives motor vehicle
