Loan Review Analyst

Average Hours per Week:
Provides an independent, internal review, which identifies, evaluates and reports on the credit risk exposure and trends in the Bank’s loan portfolio. Promptly identifies problem loan accounts in order to reduce risks and minimize loan losses.
This list includes the current primary responsibilities of this position. It is not intended to be all-inclusive and is subject to change, as needed, for the purpose of operational efficiency.
Represents oneself and the Bank in a positive, friendly, courteous and professional manner.
Promptly identifies actual and potential credit weaknesses and monitors trends in the quality of the Bank’s loan portfolio.
Evaluates loans in accordance with the Bank’s lending policies, loan structure, and proper approval, interpretation of applicable laws and regulations, interest rate structure, legal lending limits, and documentation standards.
Supports line management’s efforts to evaluate the performance of lending officers.
Contribute to a positive culture, which supports the Bank’s lending objectives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High school degree required.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
Two years experience in loan review or related area such as credit analysis or auditing preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Requires ability to handle conflict in an assertive, tactful, and professional manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills including Excel and Word. Must be able to create required reports.
Excellent analytical skills as well as organizational skills and attention to detail.
Extensive knowledge and familiarity in commercial lending, especially regarding Loan Policy guidelines and requirements primarily focusing on commercial lending.
Ability to review mid-to-large size loans of a complex scope.
Previous banking experience of 2 years in loan review or related area such as credit analysis, auditing or lending preferred.
Normal office activity.
