Kitchen Steward


JOB SUMMARY: Washes china, silverware, glassware, pots and pans. Empties trash. Washed down mats. Keeps kitchen and respective areas clean and organized. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Does all ware washing and maintains a clean and organized dish drop zone. 2. Washes all pots, pans and related items and maintains a clean organized pot sink area. 3. Puts away all washed and dried items in their respective locations. 4. Maintains proper chemical levels and stocks back-up chemicals when necessary. 5. Uses kitchen equipment as instructed to insure safety and proper care of equipment. 6. Removes trash as necessary to outdoor dumpsters and maintain cleanliness of all trash receptacles. 7. Breakdowns cardboard boxes and removes to designated area. 8. Sweeps and mops the floor as instructed by the Shift Supervisor. 9. Deep cleans kitchen and respective areas as instructed. 10. Cleans and organize all shelves, walk-ins, storeroom and back dock area. 11. Acts a role model and presents oneself as a credit to River Rock Casino and encourages others to do the same. 12. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures. 13. Performs additional duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School Diploma or GED preferred. 2. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., repeatedly and maneuver large objects in confined spaces. 3. Must be able to be on your feet for long periods at time. 4. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. 5. Must be able to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends. 6. Must present a well-groomed appearance. PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: 1. Must be able to tolerate areas with high temperatures. 2. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, crouch, kneel, push and pull. 3. Must be fast and be able to work in stressful situations. 4. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. 5. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
