CASHIER CAGE

 

Job Description:

  • Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
  • Responsible for performing a wide variety of monetary transactions for the guest from the  casino cage and assisting in the safeguarding of company assets by ensuring all distinguishing job duties are performed according to established company policies and procedures.
  • Provides even exchange of cash and exchanges of receipts for cash repetitively over long periods of time in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while standing in the same spot throughout the duration of an 8 – 10 hour shift. 
  • Consistently balances funds and assets at the end of work shift.
  • Informs supervisor of guest needs which may require special accommodations.
  • Maintains composure in challenging situations and during resolution of customer disputes/complaints.
  • Follows all federal and state regulations as well as departmental standard operating procedures and company policies; including, but not limited to, Illinois Riverboat Act, Illinois Minimum Internal Control Standards and Title 31/BSA/AML.
  • Performs accurate and efficient data entry of customer and transactional information as required in the casino management system, Title 31 software, and cash advance/check cashing system.
  • Performs verification of customer state and federal I.D.’s.
  • Completes all standard forms and required documentation in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to two years cashier or related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs independently and repetitively.
  • Ability to add and subtract five digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 5’s, 10's and 100's.
  • Comfortable with repetitive work assignments.
  • Ability to operate a 10 Key Adding Machine, strong typing/data entry skills.
  • Ability to learn and understand all required federal and state regulations as well as departmental standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to operate a computer accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate with Team members and guests.
  • Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
