Job Description:

Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the Senior Keno Supervisor, responsible for managing all aspects of the Keno Department operations for assigned shift.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Applies fair and consistent supervision
Assists in hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions.
Plans and administers work schedules and assignments for direct reports.
Assist with the planning and budget preparation for the department.
Monitors the performance of direct reports, ensuring adherence to all TOGE and
departmental policies and procedures.
Supervises the daily operations of the department during assigned shift.
Prepares and submits reports on activities during shift.
Ensures smooth shift transitions that are seamless to customers.
Responsible for large payouts.
Responsible for ball cleaning and changes as needed.
Conducts tournaments.
Ensures games are run on a timely and efficient basis to meet department goals.
Explain and teach customers on game of Keno.
Writes Keno tickets for customers in areas of the Casino.
Processing Keno tickets.
Stock stations in Keno area.
Responsible for training Keno Writers.
Verifies bank at beginning and end of shift.
Assists in cleaning up the Keno area.
Operates keno register, computer and calculator.
Promotes, explains and encourages Players Club membership to customers.
Informs management of any issues with personnel, supplies or customers.
Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED. One year of related gaming experience and one year supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Must be 18 years of age or older.  No felony, theft or stealing convictions.   Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license and to include the following:

Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications:
Knowledge of training techniques.
Knowledge and application of excellent customer service.
Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments.

Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff and the general public.
Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to sit and stand; use finger and hands; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to walk.  The employee occasionally is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level.  Evening, graveyard, holiday and/or weekend work may be required.  Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
