The Office Manager will supervise and coordinate projects that are critical in bettering the billing process within the Company as well as be responsible for all aspects of the office.

Additional job duties include:

  • Plan, coordinate and implement methods and procedures for the most efficient and economical billing of freight bills in an error-free manner, as well as within the established Department budget
  • Prepare and compile daily, weekly, monthly employee performance records and measure conformance to stated Department objectives
  • Continuously evaluate the Company’s training program to ensure both new and existing employees are receiving the proper training needed to succeed
  • Analyze employee error reports for root cause of errors and work with Centralized Billing Trainer to solve the problem
  • Confer with Service Center personnel to ensure coordination of the billing function
  • Evaluate employee work performance and recommend or initiate personnel records documentation
  • Responsible for recruitment of prospective subordinate employees, including screening, qualifying and interviewing, in conjunction with the CB/Office Manager
  • Maintain superior internal and external customer relations, consistent with company policies
  • Receive constructive criticism and praise in a business-like fashion and maintain a professional, positive attitude
  • Provide effective, consistent communications at the highest level possible, as well as facilitate our Open-Door Policy
  • Maintain the building and office environment

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Billing related experience at a progressively responsible level; transportation industry experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of billing transactions and processes and the ability to determine and implement processes and standards in place to meet performance targets.
  • Must be able to work 2nd Shift M-F.
  • Proven ability to motivate a team to meet or exceed performance objectives.
  • Strong oral/written communication.
  • Strong leadership and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create a positive work environment.
