POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: supervision of personnel and coordination of the operational activities of a specific nursing unit, basing decision-making on patient acuity, staff skills mix, and unit census for a 12-hour work shift. Directs the clinical nursing care for patients on the assigned nursing unit. Demonstrates effective leadership skills, directing and participating with the nursing care team, in the delivery of quality nursing care in a safe environment. Must respond to nursing personnel requests for actual patient care assistance, and intervene as expert clinician, when necessary, to ensure quality patient outcomes and experience. Required to conduct board rounds on each patient to ensure that patient and family needs are met. Manages performance of unit personnel. Under the direction of the Department Director and Hospital Supervisor, provides administrative and clinical support in the provision of quality patient care on the unit and shares in the financial management of the unit. Must maintain clinical competenies in unit, providing direct patient care when necessary. Must be able to perform jobs in all patient care and operational areas subject to reasonable accommodations, also be able to employ all mandatory safety devices and procedures. Must participate in the Respiratory Protection Program, which may include the wearing of a respirator. This is a non-union position.
The estimated base pay for this position is $53.69 - $69.88 hourly. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through years of experience, differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. (Sign on bonus of $7,500)
