WILLIAMSBURG LODGE

Job Description:

The Williamsburg Lodge: American cuisine with contemporary southern and Chesapeake influences, plus a popular Friday night seafood buffet. The new lounge and bar is appealing for lively discussion, enjoying a televised sporting event, or quiet reflection by the original 1939 fireplace. 

Maintain sanitation of station.

Man Chef action stations for breakfast, lunch and dinner meals periods as scheduled.

Prepare salads, vegetables, starches, for ala carte and buffet service in an open kitchen.

Prepare burgers and sandwiches to temperature and to order.

Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner meal periods, both buffet and ala Carte.

Prepare seafood, poultry entrees; cook meats; broil steaks and seafood to quality standards.

Work in restaurant and or banquet operations.

Assist in outside catering if requested. 

Job Requirements:

2 year Associate Culinary Degree, Certificate in Culinary Arts from a technical school.

At least 3 years restaurant cooking experience including some broiler work (formal culinary training will substitute for 2 years work experience on an equal time basis).

Willing to work nights, holidays, weekends ranging from 5 am to 11pm

Ability to (1) interact with  Guests and co-workers in a professional manner; (2) transport weights up to 50 pounds; (3) read food orders and production charts; (4) meet standards listed below
 
Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a current Williamsburg James City County food handler’s card; applicants with an active food handler’s card should be prepared to present it during the interview process
 
Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: (1) lifting and transporting weights up to 50 pounds; (2) standing for long periods of time; (3) extensive use of stairs
