BANQUET SERVER (Lodge)

WILLIAMSBURG LODGE

Job Description:

The Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center: Renovated in 2006 this guest and conference facility combines the ambiance of an American folk art motif with contemporary comforts and conveniences.  Many of the 315 guest rooms feature cypress paneling, hardwood floors and rocking chairs.  Families and conference attendees appreciate the spaciousness of the rooms in the Tazewell and West Wings.

Set up, serve and clean up for banquet breakfast, lunch, dinner or receptions.

Perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Good public contact skills.

Ability to: (1) work well with others; (2) follow established standards for attendance, dress, work procedures, hospitality and courtesy; (3) work flexible days and hours including nights, weekends and holidays; (4) maintain standards listed below

Must have good reading and comprehensive skills.

Must have tableside or banquet experience.

Applicants must be 18 years of age according to Virginia A.B.C. Code § 4.1-307

Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a current Williamsburg James City County food handler’s card and TIPS® certification; applicants with an active card and certification should be prepared to present both during the interview process.

Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: (1) lifting trays weighing up to 50 pounds; (2) standing for long periods of time
