Job Description:

The Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center: This guest and conference facility combines the ambiance of an American folk art motif with contemporary comforts and conveniences.  Many of the 315 guest rooms feature cypress paneling, hardwood floors and rocking chairs.  Families and conference attendees appreciate the spaciousness of the rooms in the Tazewell and West Wings.

Enthusiastically serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient manner;

Responds to guests' questions about the Lodge and Colonial Williamsburg;

Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age to meet Virginia A.B.C. code § 4.1-307

1-2 years food and beverage experience;

Demonstrated knowledge of mixed drinks;

Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a current TIPS ® certification; applicants with an active TIPS ® certification should be prepared to present it during the interview process.

Ability to: (1) maintain standards listed below; (2) serve large numbers of guests courteously and efficiently; (3) learn and discuss the Lodge and Colonial Williamsburg.

STANDARDS: Maintain a positive, enthusiastic outlook; smile and greet guests, employees, managers, and supervisors; show respect for and cooperate at all times with those for whom and with whom you work; report to work as scheduled and on time; meet appearance standards; perform assigned tasks accurately and on time.

NOTE: In accordance with Virginia A.B.C.  § 4.1-225 Colonial Williamsburg prohibits employment of anyone in an alcohol serving position who has been convicted of a felony, any crime involving moral turpitude (lying, cheating, or stealing), or a drug-related offense within the past five (5) years.
