Job Title:   Contracts Manager

The Contracts Manager position located in our Irvine, CA location is responsible for providing assistance and support to attorneys by gathering information, preparing, drafting and negotiating legal documents, and responding to inquiries from the business and clients. 
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, negotiate, redline and proof sales and vendor agreements, amendments, SOWs and NDAs
  • Assist with contract management, ensure proper routing and timely responses for contract requests
  • Prepare and maintain drafts of company template agreements and contract playbooks
  • Manage special projects as requested
  • Conduct research as required for legal and business requests and projects
  • Assist with the marketing collateral review process
  • Prepare requested memos and reports
  • Perform other duties as needed

  • JD degree required
  • Bar membership required


  • Three or more years of experience working in a fast paced corporate or law firm environment, supporting multiple attorneys
  • Extensive experience drafting commercial agreements and responding to general and specific  legal inquiries
  • In depth knowledge of commercial legal formalities, terms, and principles
  • Residential mortgage origination and/or servicing legal/compliance experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of legal research and MS Office tools
  • Ability to conduct research on complex items
  • Ability to take ownership of assignments and see such assignments to completion
  • Team player
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and perform under rigorous deadlines
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of corporate personnel
