Security Officer


The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.  The Security Officer’s performance is necessary for the casino to reach its full potential in providing a superior entertainment experience for casino guest.

 The following are major duties and are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive.Secures premises and personnel by patrolling facility property.Prepares reports based upon observations, information, occurrences, interviews witnesses and obtains signatures as needed.Monitors the opening and closing of machines for routine repairs and maintenance as needed.Provides escort for employees when entering and leaving main bank with issued bank.Observes drop and count team when drop and count is being performed.Attends and satisfactorily completes all training as assigned by Security Manager and/or Supervisor.Perform other duties as assigned.


 High School Diploma/GED plus Law Enforcement certification preferred or one to three (1-3) years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Security Officer is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Work is performed throughout all areas of the facility where the noise level varies from quiet to loud depending upon business.  The Security Officer must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.The Security Officer may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with difficult guests and staff members.
