JOB DESCRIPTION:

JOB SUMMARY:

Work as a member of the Information Technology Team to provide necessary computer and technology support to staff.  Obtain direction and/or consultation from the Information Technology Manager and/or Executive Director as needed when additional knowledge and/or skills are required.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Any and all duties as assigned by the Information Technology Manager, up to and including:

  1. Daily administration and support of systems, including but not limited to: user and account maintenance, technical support, desktop application configuration management, and application deployment;
  2. Daily administration and support of core infrastructure systems, virtual environments, and other back-office application environments, including but not limited to: user and account maintenance, permissions and security, hardware and server maintenance, backup and recovery, and virtualization;
  3. Create and document application requirements by working together with those involved in the development of program enhancements and changes including systems staff, developers, strategic planning & analysis staff, and/or outside consultants as needed;
  4. Provide application users with technical support;
  5. Train new and existing users on how to use applications and systems
  6. Log and track identified system problems through resolution;
  7. Assist IT Manager with the development of technical documentation of existing and future applications;
  8. Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and help-related materials for users;
  9. Maintain and ensure comprehensive inventory of assets and software licenses;
  10. Deploy and maintain assets through device management, software deployment, and patches/anti-virus;
  11. Keep abreast of new IT-related (including cloud technologies and software-as-a-service applications) features and functionality and providing recommendations for process improvements;
  12. Serve on deployment teams to architect and deploy internal IT solutions within, but not limited to, the IT infrastructure platforms and IT production environments, key business applications, and virtual environments;
  13.  Ensure business continuity and security across all systems supporting the internal IT operations, including but not limited to, Cisco Meraki, Google Apps, Imprivata SSO, Active Directory, device management, and data loss prevention;
  14. Interface with cross-functional team members to capture business requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions;
  15. Ensure employee enablement continuity, throughout the systems lifecycle;
  16. Provide high-level employee satisfaction for all engagements, including all priority cases and enhancements;

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:    

Minimum two (2) years recent professional experience providing computer tech support related services.  Understanding of network topologies and hardware, as well as network implementation and design. Experience with supporting third party applications. Must maintain knowledge of current IT standards and technologies.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Able to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.  Able to handle stressful situations.

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:    

Native American preferred.  Four (4) or more years related experience and/or training preferred.  Computer skills (MS Office Suite) desired.  Network+ or other comparable certification preferred.  Microsoft SharePoint Server. Knowledge of management techniques and/or supervisory experience desirable. Familiar with Microsoft Server 2008/2012, Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013,Office 365, Cloud Based Services, DNS, TCP/IP networking and routing. Experience with server-based anti-virus and network backup solutions.  Experience with IT in a medical field.

 

  1. Windows Systems Administrator experience desired;
  2. Virtual & cloud technology experience (VMWare, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure) required;
  3. Cisco networking experience desired;
  4. Experience in supporting Google Apps (G Suite), Cisco Meraki, Microsoft Office 365, Windows & Mac/iOS, Android;
  5. Basic knowledge in scripting and Web Technologies (JavaScript, XML, CSS/HTML, AJAX, SQL, Apex);
  6. Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle process, including requirement analysis, quality assurance, design, scheduling, implementation, issue tracking, version control and deployment;
  7. Ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations, and gather team consensus to solve problems;
  8. Understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management concepts, security & compliance, and business continuity;
  9. Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a close attention to detail;
  10. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects;
  11. Desktop Support: 2+ years
  12. System Administration: 1+ year

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret program forms and documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from staff.  Ability to effectively present information to the Information Technology Manager, the Management Team, and/or the Health Board or Business Committee.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percentages, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical and critical problems, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Strong analytical skills with the ability to efficiently identify the root cause of an issue and resolve.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position is physically and emotionally challenging.  There is a high degree of stress and physical activity.  These activities can include: walking, stooping, bending, lifting up to forty five (45) pounds, sitting, and normal range vision correctable to 20/20, ability to hear within normal range, writing, ability to deal with time constraints and emotional stress.
