Senior Accountant

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for a wide variety of complex accounting processes, data, policies, programs, and maintenance of the accounting software
.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • Bachelors Degree is required, preferably in Business or Accounting.

Experience

  • Payroll and payroll implementation experience preferred. 
  • 4 years experience in general ledger accrual accounting.

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge  of MAS 200 and ADP payroll experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable law, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration is required.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, planning, controls methods, and applications.
  • Proficient in computers, including mid range accounting systems, e-mail, Internet, Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, includes Excel and FRX applications.
  • Proficient in 10-key and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate financial information in a clear and concise manner to financial and non-financial Team Members, both verbally and written.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to effectively establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of leadership and management skills and techniques.
  • Multi-task oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect.
  • Exceptional detail and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
