Emergency Services Manager

The Emergency Service Manager oversees and manages all aspects of the Chumash Casino Resort’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program as directed by the Director of Security. Serves as Training Officer for the EMS program.  Assumes the position of Medical Unit Leader in all emergencies.



  • High School Diploma or GED Certification.


  • Current and valid CA EMT license or Paramedic License a plus. 


  • Minimum of 5 years full time experience with an EMS provider, as an EMT or higher, in which at least 3 of those years were in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in Employee Wellness Programs desired.

Additional Requirements

  • Experienced trainer in EMT knowledge and skills desired.
  • Certified CPR / AED Instructor (both Lay and Professional Rescuer) desired.
  • Knowledge of applicable law, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration relating to EMS is required.
  • Must be flexible to hours needed to provide training or an evaluation of performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience and tact.
  • Exceptional detail and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action. 
  • Current Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
