Career Cultivation Tribal Intern

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Pay: $20.00/Hour

Under of the direction of the Education Director, the Career Cultivation Tribal Intern will support the day-to-day operations of the assigned department while engaging in various professional development opportunities. Interns will rotate through various functional areas of the department they are assigned to in order to gain work experience and learn practical skills to complement the students’ education, area of interest, particular field of study, or a college major.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

High school diploma or GED certificate.
Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
Knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment.
Proficient in use of computers, including Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel), databases, e-mail, and Internet.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to give presentations both visual and oral.
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience and tact.
Solid organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
Ability to work with Team Members and management on a professional level.
Must be willing to learn.
Exceptional detail and follow-up skills.
Ability to multi-task, effectively establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
Team Member must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
Must be a SY Chumash Community Member.

	Trouble cutting and pasting your resume into the window provided

	Selecting more than one choice in a list box
	To select multiple choices in a drop down box, hold down the CTRL ("Control") key while clicking the options with the mouse. Use the SHIFT key if you're using a Macintosh.

	Printing your resume
	When you are reviewing your resume, click into that frame. From your browser's menu, select 'File' and 'Print - only selected frame.'

	Changing your username and password
	You will not be able to change your username or password. If you lose your password, you can click on the "Forgot Password" button next to the password box on the login page. If you have forgotten your username, you will need to contact the HR department for help in retrieving this information.
