Cage/Vault Shift Manager

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Cage/Vault Shift Manager is responsible and accountable for the daily operations of the Cage/Vault during assigned shift.  Ensures that subordinates follow policies and procedures and that a high degree of service is provided to guests of the casino.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Three years of experience in casino Cage/Vault operations including one year at a supervisory level.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, percentage and decimals.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform cash handling operations using units of American money.
  • General knowledge of business and accounting systems and methods.
  • Basic knowledge of applicable law, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration is required.
  • General knowledge of budgeting, planning, controls methods, and applications.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, sales, marketing, promotions, and/or public relations is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in computers, including Microsoft Office and database applications, e-mail and Internet. 
  • Basic proficiency in 10-key and other office equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect.
  • Exceptional detail and follow-up skills.
  • Able to effectively establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • General knowledge of leadership and management skills and techniques.
  • Multi-task oriented. 
  • Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
  • Must be able to read and write legibly.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
