Hotel Shift Manager



The Hotel Shift Manager directs and manages the daily hotel operations in the absence of, or in coordination with, the Front Office Manager and Executive Housekeeper. Responsible for managing Front Desk, Lobby, Bell, Concierge, Pool, Fitness Center and Housekeeping staff to ensure the highest standards of quality are met and in compliance with Four Diamond standards. Responsible for leading by example and creating an environment that sets a benchmark in the areas of quality and service. 



  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or related field preferred 


  • 3 years’ Hospitality experience preferred.
  • Supervisory or management level experience required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Effective leadership and supervisory skills and abilities.
  • Familiar with a variety of Property Management Systems, Opera preferred.
  • Proficiency in computers, including Microsoft Office and database applications, e-mail and Internet.
  • Able to read, write and speak fluently in English language.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional guest service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience and tact.
  • Must work well within a team and be able to motivate Team Members.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to find solutions for problems.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments, and to delegate responsibilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding and difficult guest situations.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
