Executive Steward

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a dynamic Executive Steward to carry on our 5 Diamond Guest Service Standards.  If you are looking for a new opportunity, come join our Team!  The Chumash Casino Resort is a premier employer in Santa Barbara County located in the beautiful wine country of Santa Ynez, California.  

 

The Executive Steward will manage and oversight of the stewarding staff. Ensures that kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils are in clean and orderly condition. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations.

 

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Five years' experiance in an equivalent or related field.

Additional Requirements  

  •    Three years’ supervisory or management experience.
  •    Knowledge of leadership and management skills and techniques.
  •    Knowledge of applicable law, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration is required.
  •    Knowledge of cleaning detergents, chemicals, and washing equipment, and the proper safety procedures for their use.
  •    Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, e-mail and Internet.
  •    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  •    Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience and tact. 
  •    Detail and follow-up skills.
  •    Able to effectively establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  •    Multi-task oriented.  
  •    Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
  •    Must have speed and accuracy in order to maintain maximum efficiency.
  •    Must follow safety guidelines and grooming standards.
  •    Ability to maintain composure at times of high volume.
  •    Must obtain food handler card within 30 days of employment.
  •    Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  •    Native American hiring preference applies.
