Sr. Compensation Analyst

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Chumash Casino Resort is a premier employer in Santa Barbara County located in the beautiful wine country of Santa Ynez, California.  

The Compensation Analyst administers Chumash Enterprises' compensation program as directed by the Director of Human Resources, including salary administration, job evaluation, performance appraisal, and wage and salary management programs. Supports the planning, development and implementation of new and existing compensation programs. Ensures compensation practices are competitive within the labor market, support the goals and are in compliance with government laws and regulations. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field.

Experience

  • Three years Compensation experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of applicable law, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration is required.
  • Certified Compensation Professional designation preferred.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills.
  • Must possess excellent business and report writing skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of personnel both verbally and in writing.
  • Mathematical aptitude including percentage manipulation, and other compensation formulae.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Federal compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure compliance.
  • Strong MSOffice skills including Word, Excel and Access are required. HRIS experience preferred.
  • Must be able to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide upon a responsible plan of action.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently organize priorities.
  • Should also be able to work within a team as needed.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines and with constant interruption.
  • Exceptional detail and follow-up skills.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
