BANQUETS FOOD SERVER

 

Job Description:

* Must provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and staff.
* Must have full knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and prices, to include food and 
   beverage.
* Have a thorough knowledge of the sequence of service and follow it at all times.
* Be able to describe all items on menu and drink specials.
* Assist other servers to give the best possible service.
* Perform necessary side work.
* Handles guest checks according to internal hotel policy.
* Follow departmental rules to ensure safety, cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
* Responsible for proper uniform attire and proper name tag.
* Serves all food and beverages with proper garnishes.
* Monitor all tables in your station to be sure that they are maintained in a neat and orderly 
  fashion.
* Make every possible effort to approach every table within two minutes.
* Maintain teamwork with other team members at all times.
* Maintain a level of service, be able to greet a guest within 1 minute, approach the table within 
   2 minutes, and serve cocktails/beverages within 3 minutes.
* Performs related work as requested.

Job Requirements:

 

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum 1 year work experience in a high volume full service restaurant or restaurant with tray service

 

EDUCATION:    High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience      

 

SKILLS:   Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.    Good communication and organization skills. The ability to perform basic math. 

   MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:  21 Years                

           

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Health Card, Alcohol Awareness Card
