Job Description:
Greet guests, inquire about seating preference, take guest to desired seating area, present menus, take reservations and waiting list requests, tender transactions (including cash, credit card, comp, coupon, room charge and gift certificate) and wishes guests farewell; Maintain cleanliness of restaurant including dusting and sweeping; Communicates with food servers, managers, cooks and chefs about guest requests
Job Requirements:
TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Stands unassisted for long periods of time; Walk unassisted at a fast pace for long periods of time; Repeatedly lift 50 lbs; Bend, stoop and kneel; Sweep floors. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Pleasant, well lit, air conditioned, often crowded, sometimes stressful environment; Work around prepared food in a customer service demanding environment. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, skills and abilities: Fluent in verbal and written English; Repeatedly perform basic math skills (addition & subtraction) for calculating change without calculator assistance; Must have 3 months computer experience, preferably Micros or equivalent point of sale system; Able to follow verbal and written instructions; Know restaurant specials, casino promotions and special events. Education: High school diploma or commensurate experience Experience: Must have either 3 months experience working with cash in a physically demanding fast paced environment.
