Entertainment Event Staff
I. Position purpose / scope:
Responsible for taking tickets and showing guests to their seats. Its scope includes, but not limited to concerts, festivals and local acts.
II. Functions and responsibilities:
o Greet and interact with guests during events and or ticket sales
o Ensure only guests with proper tickets or credentials are allowed in the event area
o Affix hand stamp or wristbands to guests
o Assist guests with finding their seats during events
o Answer guest inquiries during events
o Count ticket stubs for an accurate attendance record
o Assist with the set up and tear down of concert / entertainment events and signage
o Must be able to obtain a PGCB / PHRC license
o Any other assigned duties and responsibilities
III. Knowledge and skill requirements:
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to perform basic math skills.
Critical thinking skills.
Ability to make sound judgments.
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
Ability to read and write and communicate in English.
IV. Physical Requirements:
o Ability to lift at least thirty(30) pounds
o Requires eye/ hand coordination
o Must have finger dexterity
o Hearing ability
o Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
o Requires normal vision range and absence of color blindness.
o Withstand various activities including constant standing, walking, bending, grasping, climbing, crawling and pushing carts
o Working in areas which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or illuminated.
o Regular and predictable attendance required.
o Constant contact with staff and guest.
