Entertainment Technician (Audio)
Position purpose / scope:
Maintain, prepare and operate all technical audio equipment for all Meadows entertainment venues. Though the primary responsibilities will focus on audio, the scope also includes, but is not limited to, lighting, staging, rigging and video. This position may, on occasion, be temporarily assigned to work on entertainment projects at other CCR properties.
Functions and responsibilities:
Required to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming License, level “N”
Required to have the Pennsylvania Gaming License on at all times while at the Meadows Racetrack and Casino.
Implements all aspects of Entertainment Technical Production.
Implements all technical production required by Talent.
Recommends all purchases related to technical production.
Works with vendors that provide rental and service needs relating to entertainment production.
Consults with Entertainment Staff to obtain highest quality talent and entertainment.
Ensures all company policies and procedures along with PGCB Regulations and other governing and managing policies are recognized and adhered to by self, coworkers and the company.
Reports violations of company policies and procedures as well as PGCB Regulations by self, other and company to appropriate individuals.
Recognizes and reports opportunities to secure company assets.
Must be highly organized, provide timely information and consistently meet deadlines.
Ability to manage relations with internal and external resources (i.e. vendors).
Is action oriented; pursues work with energy, drive and a need to finish.
Sets priorities and manages multiple tasks and projects.
Maintains composure in busy times and effectively uses down time.
Works well in a team setting.
Maintains flexible work hours per business needs.
Has the skill set to handle complex matters and work autonomously with little supervision.
Must be 21 years of age.
Knowledge and skill requirements:
Ability to troubleshoot any malfunctioning entertainment production equipment and recommend any repair or replacement needs.
Extensive knowledge of all technical production categories, including but not limited to: audio, lighting, staging, rigging and video.
Extensive knowledge of OSHA safety practices as related to the entertainment industry.
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems as related to the entertainment industry.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Ability to do simple math.
Knowledge of events and event set-up.
Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Good communication skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels and work as part of a team.
Ability to exercise sound judgment.
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
Ability to work in unusually hot and noisy environments.
Ability to lift, push or pull a minimum of 60 pounds.
Normal vision and hearing range, absence of color blindness.
Ability to distinguish letters, symbols and numbers.
Requires extreme flexibility in working hours.
