Job Description:
Advise management in all matters of counseling and discipline. Advise management in all matters of contract administration and interpretation. Advise and assist in negotiations of various collect bargaining agreements. Develop training sessions/materials for all levels of supervision regarding administration of collective bargaining agreements. Assist with arbitration hearing preparation.  Responsible for coordination/tracking of grievance process.  Responsible for conducting a timely & thorough investigative process.  Responsible for thorough and accurate documentation.  Assist employees at all levels in the interpretation and communication of policies, procedures and practices. Monitor all corrective counseling actions to assure adherence to company policy and legal compliance. Coordinate responses to claims/charges from PHRC/EEOC, DOL Wage and Hour, OFCCP, etc., and represent property at related hearings if applicable. Assist and advise department management in conducting employee performance appraisals. Assist HR Director in developing and implementing HR-related policies, procedures and practices. Assist & provide direction to HR Rep/E.R Specialist. Maintain high visibility on the property; attend department/staff meetings as scheduled. Coordinate and produce a variety of management reports, presentations and/or training. Create and promote positive, open lines of communication with employees and between employees and their management teams. Coordinate termination process; conduct exit interviews. Maintain ongoing communication with corporate HR management regarding all issues affecting property employees. Responsible for data input and file maintenance related to corrective counseling, performance appraisals, claims/charges and terminations.  Responsible for the proper maintenance of personnel files.
 
Job Requirements:
Minimum of five years proven success in labor relations, contract management, negotiations process. Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws and related regulations. Superior critical thinking skills; ability to assess and evaluate courses of action to reach sound, non-judgmental decisions and resolutions. Strong organization and time management skills; ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: oral, written and listening. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.  Must demonstrate the ability to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner.   Must possess effective presentation/training skills. Thorough working knowledge of MS Office programs; experience with Infinium HRIS a plus. Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time Requires predictable attendance and the ability to work flexible hours to meet business needs.  Indirect but significant impact on employee turnover and the reduction of legal expenses related to claims/charges. Advise management in all matters of contract administration and interpretation. Advise and assist in negotiations of various collect bargaining agreements.
