Job Description:
Position Purpose & Scope:
  • Front line, hourly, hands-on supervisor for Kitchen Worker staff responsible for all cleaning and organizing functions of kitchens, back of house areas and storage areas
  • In absence of Steward Operations Manager, Chefs or other salaried management, oversees back of house operations
  • Adjusts service staff stations according to business needs
  • Communicates with management in a timely manner regarding guest & employee questions, comments and issues
  • Interacts with the culinary staff to ensure smooth flow of operations
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management
  • Maintains safe, clean, sanitary and organized departmental work areas and equipment
  • Manually and/or mechanically cleans service ware, cooking utensils, cooking equipment, & physical facilities
  • Indirectly services guests by providing clean service ware and sanitary production facilities


Job Requirements:
 Essential Knowledge, Skill and Licensure Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board non-gaming license
  • Requires knowledge of Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture – Department of Food Safety and Sanitation regulations
  • Requires basic knowledge of operation and maintenance of machinery needed in the daily performance of duties
  • Knowledge of proper selection and use of Fire Extinguishers in the event of a fire
  • 3 months work experience in a physically demanding, manual labor job


Essential Physical Requirement:
  • Stands and walks unassisted for substantial periods
  • Bending at the knee and waist 
  • Pushing and pulling up to 200 lbs
  • Lifting unassisted waist high up to 100 lbs
  • Twisting, squatting, and kneeling 
  • Works in wet, hot, high humidity, noisy, and low light environment
  • Comes in physical contact with soaps, quatinary and/or chlorine based sanitizers
  • Repetitive motions, including scrubbing, sweeping, mopping
