Description:

Senior Direct Marketing Analyst will support the implementation of direct marketing programs set by the Data Strategies department and Regional and Property Marketing to execute multi-property and property-specific direct marketing campaigns.

The Senior Analyst is responsible for processing direct marketing campaign list and offer data, performing quality assurance checks, and cross-checking other Analysts’ campaigns.  The Senior Analyst must maintain a strong relationship with department co-workers as well as key corporate, regional, and property marketing teams.

Requirements:

  • Build Cognos and other queries pertaining to casino marketing data, and provide recommendations based on result outcomes
  • Audit of offer builds for assigned campaigns provide quality assurance between marketing departments
  • Create operational matrices for database marketing campaigns in various channels, frequencies, offers, values and test/control segments
  • Oversee campaign executions conducted by Direct Marketing Analysts
  • Work with selected vendors to successfully produce and deliver campaigns
  • Document and communicate lessons learned for continuous improvement
  • Suggest new ways to develop and implement successful direct marketing campaigns
  • Assist in training Direct Marketing Analysts in various software tools, database queries, analytical techniques, and marketing/business strategies

Required:

  • Demonstrated advanced Cognos or Sequel query experience
  • Knowledge of relational database query tools, Access and property CMS functions
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and strategic skills working with large data sets specific to casino data
  • Advanced proficiency Microsoft Excel & Access
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple streams of work in a challenging, dynamic environment
  • Ability to take ownership and initiative
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while also functioning and contributing as part of a team
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively, handle multiple high priority projects concurrently and react quickly to shifting priorities
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with comfort communication to all organization levels
  • Excellent communication, proofreading and organizational skills required

Preferred:

  • Four-year degree with a quantitative focus (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, etc.) is preferred, or 3-5 years with a similar database role
  • Three years’ casino industry database marketing experience preferred
