Casino Accountant

Job Description

The Casino Accountant prepares analyses and review reports on patron account balances, casino win/loss, and receivables for online gaming revenue.

  • Ensures proper calculation of casino and online gaming revenues.
  • Prepares daily/monthly journal entries for casino and online operations.
  • Prepares monthly account analyses for casino and online operations.
  • Prepares and review daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly online gaming revenue reports.
  • Prepares monthly DGE financial reports.
  • Prepares weekly revenue numbers for DGE and tax transfer and transmittals.
  • Reviews and reconciles progressive jackpot reports (casino and online).
  • Reviews patron information for suspicious activity with the OLG - regulatory compliance manager.
  • Reviews in house online gaming promotions for regulatory compliance and submission to DGE.
  • Reviews and generates online gaming payment processing reconciliations.
  • Performs collection efforts for online gaming charge backs.
  • Generates bank balance reports for review/signature.
  • Performs check verifications for online gaming (casino checks).
  • Performs research/analyses for special projects.
  • Produces, edits, and analyzes SMS accounting reports.
  • Follow all procedures in compliance with the Borgata’s internal controls and New Jersey regulations and Borgata’s internal controls.
  • Assists slot operations in analyzing and reporting the metered data and drop figures provided by the SMS system to the DGE in compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Assists the casino accounting representative with audit related questions when the Supervisor or above are busy or unavailable.
  • Follows all procedures in compliance with the Borgata’s Internal Controls and New Jersey regulations.
  • Utilizes technology effectively to accomplish objectives.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all Borgata trade secrets and proprietary information including business processes, customer lists, marketing plans and any other confidential information.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by the Casino Accounting Supervisor or above.

Comply with all Title 26 requirements as they related to W2G reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (may substitute additional experience in lieu of degree).
  • Minimum of three years related casino accounting experience or finance/accounting related education.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of DGE regulations.
  • Proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office package.
  • Ability to qualify for casino employee license.
