Department Trainer - Casino Cashiering

Job Description

Provides casino cashiering training in the following areas: customer service, system access, and DGE regulations (Section 13:69) as they relate to cashiering. Creates a memorable guest and team member experience by effectively aligning the people, product, and processes that are the foundation of the Borgata culture.

  • Maintains the utmost integrity, promoting the highest caliber of customer service 

  • Develops enduring relationships with guests and team members, promotes positive public relations and presents one’s self as a credit to the Borgata organization 

  • Works diligently to support the S.H.O.W. Service Basic Standards culture and team philosophy throughout the property 

  • Maintains confidentiality of all Borgata trade secrets and proprietary information including business processes, customer lists, marketing plans and any other confidential information 

  • Title 31 and 26 federal regulations as it relates to the casino Industry. 

  • Create technical training material and customer service programs, as they relate to Borgata IC’s  

  • Work with the compliance manager with the Internal controls procedures as changes are made to the regulations that effect the cashiering department.   

  • Maintains and updates technical manuals, addresses customer correspondence and identifies recurring customer complaints, formulating alternate procedures to correct service failures 

  • Works closely with department Supervisors, Managers and Director to make recommendations concerning job related issue 

  • Ability to communicate both orally and written, logically and independently plan and organize, direct a workforce, providing support to set and achieve high standards of performance  

  • Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to second hand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment 

  • Must be able to stand for entire shift and be able to move throughout the casino/hotel areas 

  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/ or unusual hours 

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent 

  • Must have good writing skills  

  • Must be able to train one on one and large groups  

  • Must have Microsoft office skills 

  • Must have training experience or equivalent educational background
