Slot Technical Shift Manager

Job Description

The Slot Technical Shift Manager assigns departmental work that includes creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction. 


  • Responsible for quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; adherence to the company’s status quo third party representation philosophy; compliance with company policies.
  • Maintains the utmost integrity, promoting the highest caliber of customer service.
  • Serves as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, and motivation.
  • Responsible for training all slot repair personal pertaining to all types of slot equipment, company policies and procedures.
  • Works diligently to support the S.H.O.W. Service Basic Standards culture and team philosophy throughout the property.
  • Assists in completing projects, modifications, and maintenance of all slot equipment.
  • Generate all documentation for machine movement, conversions and machine repairs pursuant to DGE.
  • Develops and maintains an excellent working relationship with the state regulatory agencies.
  • Schedules and oversees routine work assignments of slot repair personnel.
  • Coordinates with various departments to ensure that all slot repair and company goals are being achieved.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in order to achieve desired results.
  • Assists the in the planning of slot projects and the creation of innovative strategies to improve efficiencies and employee development
  • Responsible for control of keys, parts, equipment and all company assets.
  • Reviews all paperwork submitted by the technical staff to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensures that all slot machines, slot areas and related equipment are in proper working order, and are presentable for public usage in accordance to company guidelines.
  • Circulates through work areas inspecting and evaluating the Slot Technicians performance, providing positive and corrective feedback as needed.
  • Remain up to date on all advances in technology, associates with vendors, servicemen, etc.
  • Interview, screen, and hire slot tech staff.
  • Assists the Slot Operations staff with any customer disputes regarding technical performance or compliance issues.
  • Assigns duties to Slot Technicians that vary from normal daily operation scheduling.
  • Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment.

Job Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum (4) years slot repair experience in a casino environment with 1000 hours minimum formal training in electronics required.
  • Must possess a good understanding of electronics and microprocessor theory on all aspects of slot machine repair, installation and regulatory procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills with the ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.
  • Exhibits superior communication skills and abilities.
  • Working knowledge of computer software applications and practical usage preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the Casino/Hotel areas.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
