Banquet Supervisor

Job Description

Works diligently to support the S.H.O.W. Service Basic Standards culture and team philosophy throughout the property

Creates and ensures a fresh, positive and exciting environment where sanitation, flawless delivery and execution of product excellence and service are paramount

Accountable for and dedicated to ensuring service commitments, standards/expectations, financial goals, and policies/procedures are consistently upheld

Acts as a role model to all team members and always presents oneself as a credit to Borgata and encourages others to do the same

Practice teamwork and support fellow team members to create an energized, positive work atmosphere

Complies with all departmental and Company policies

Maintain a high level of personal integrity and moral conduct free of any questionable association

Practice excellent grooming and uniform standards

Willing to take continuing training and education classes offered at Borgata or outside institutions

Follows  all OSHA and safety guidelines set forth by the Borgata

Knows and adheres to health and sanitation guidelines at all times

Demonstrates a courteous, friendly, polite, congenial and efficient attitude

Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility

Wears and utilizes all safety equipment necessary to perform job function

Ensures that all setup duties are completed on time; conducts all roll calls prior to function

Ensures that all guests receive service according to established standards of quality; relays all guest compliment/complaints to Banquet Manager and Assistant Banquet Manager

Adheres to established hotel policies, food and beverage policies, labor regulations and liquor laws

Conducts ongoing training programs for banquet personnel

Makes use of all available merchandising techniques

Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times

Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility

Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned

Shift assignments may be irregular, and will cover days, nights, weekends and holidays

Ability to handle all types of guest related situations

Ability to work in a high pressure environment

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred with 1-3 years of banquet supervisory experience required

Ability to work in a fast paced environment, make decisions in a high pressure environment and effectively communicate with/assist guests and team members.
